In practice, a Coal Marketing website is:
- Built to convert: every page leads to a clear next step (a call, a quote, a booking, an order).
- Fast, mobile-first and ready for Google on launch day, with GA4 and Search Console in place.
- Yours: you own your domain, your content and your site.
Brochure site, online store or custom build?
The right format depends on how your customers buy. A contractor needs quote requests, a shop needs online sales, a startup needs a tool that doesn't exist yet.
| Type of site | Ideal for | What it does for you | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brochure site | Trades and contractors, restaurants, independents, local shops | Presents your services and work, brings in calls and quote requests | 3 to 8 weeks |
| Online store | Shops, producers, brands | Catalogue, checkout, delivery or click and collect, order tracking | 6 to 12 weeks |
| Custom web app | Startups, booking-based services, client portals, instant quotes | A web app built around the way you work | 6 to 12 weeks or more |
Brochure site: get found and get enquiries
The right choice for most trades, restaurants and independents: it shows your services, work and reviews, and turns visits into calls and quote requests. Online menus or booking can be added.
Online store: sell around the clock
Catalogue, product pages, secure checkout, delivery or pickup: an online store must be easy for you to run and for customers to use. We size it to your catalogue, starting with the essentials.
Custom build: when off-the-shelf tools fall short
Booking, client portals, instant quotes, dashboards: when a template won't do, we build a custom web app, adding AI or automation where it saves real time. We also create interactive 3D experiences for brands that want to stand out.
Every stage is laid out in our website design process and timeline.
Built to be found on Google
A website nobody finds brings in nothing, so search visibility is planned from the first sketch. Google needs to understand what you do, where you work and why you're a good answer. Every site we deliver includes:
- One page per service and per search intent, instead of a catch-all Services page.
- Titles, metadata and copy written for your customers, in the words they actually type.
- Speed by design: optimised images and the speed targets Google sets (main content in 2.5 s or less, taps answered in under 200 ms).
- Structured data describing your business, opening hours and service area.
- For local businesses, your Google Business Profile set up and linked to the site: categories, services, photos and reviews.
- Multilingual when you need it: English, French or both, with the right hreflang tags.
That's the foundation. Ranking for competitive searches then takes ongoing work: content, reviews, links and sometimes ads. That's what our digital marketing for small businesses is for.
What a small business website costs
It depends on scope: pages, custom design, copywriting, photography and features. As a benchmark, here are typical 2026 price ranges in France. They are market figures, not our own prices.
| Item | Indicative range (excl. VAT) | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Brochure website | €900 to €5,000 | Number of pages, design, copywriting, photos |
| Online store | €3,000 to €10,000 or more | Catalogue size, payments, shipping, stock or till integration |
| Custom web app | Above that, quoted on scope | Features, user accounts, integrations, AI |
| Domain name | €10 to €50 per year | Extension (.com, .fr, .eu) and options |
| Hosting | A few euros to around €20 per month | Traffic, database, e-commerce |
| Maintenance | €30 to €150 per month | Updates, backups, security, small changes |
Our quotes are free and itemised: pages, features, content, SEO foundations, hosting, maintenance and schedule. Our guide to how much a small business website costs explains each line.
Monthly subscription or a site you own?
Some providers rent you a website for a monthly fee. Before signing, check the minimum term, the total cost over three years and what happens if you stop: often the site, sometimes even the domain, stays with them. With us, you own your domain, your content and your site.
Redesigning without losing your rankings
Is your current site slow, awkward on mobile or no longer bringing in enquiries? A redesign can turn that around, as long as it doesn't break what already works on Google: delete a page without a redirect and months of search history can vanish.
- Audit what you have: visited pages, searches that bring traffic (Search Console), inbound links, converting forms.
- Map every redirect: each old URL points to its new equivalent with a 301 redirect.
- Keep and improve content rather than deleting it.
- Monitor the launch: sitemap submitted, indexing and errors watched over the following weeks.
If your current site is rented or locked in with a provider, we'll check with you what can be recovered, starting with the domain.
